As a Professor, you will apply your extensive academic and research experience to make a significant contribution to all activities of the School and play a significant leadership role within the Occupational Therapy discipline. With a national research profile and existing links with professional bodies, industry and government, you will lead the strategic development of the occupational therapy curriculum to meet national and international benchmarks.

For the first three years of your appointment, you will also assume the role of Head of Course which will see you leading the strategic and pedagogical development, quality enhancement and accreditation of CQUniversity’s Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) – a fully accredited course with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia – ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.

Position Requirements
  • Hold advanced qualifications plus significant experience in Occupational Therapy. This will require a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.
  • Registered, or eligible to be registered, with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia/AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide inspiring leadership in research, teaching, and/or academic governance.
  • Demonstrated capacity to attract competitive external funding grants and the ability to engage in research in areas of research strength.
