About the Company…

The Company is one of Queensland largest Independent Industrial Suppliers, offering a huge range of machinery, consumables, and safety gear to broad Industry sectors. They have a small team dedicated to supporting Australian Industry by offering the best possible customer experience.

Due to the development of the business, the Company is now seeking an experienced sales professional that ideally comes from a trade or engineering background, with experience in welding supplies or a similar.

About the Position…

The position involves identifying, developing and commercialising growth opportunities in existing customer accounts and new business prospects. You will be responsible for building strong business relationships, promoting, demonstrating and increasing awareness of the company’s capabilities. Having a knowledge of welding products is required to maximise business opportunities within the existing customer base in Rockhampton and the Bowen Basin region, as well as being able to identify and secure new customers.

Further Duties Include:

  • Increase the profitability of the portfolio through effective price & contract management and product substitution.
  • Develop mutually rewarding relationships with prospective and current customers.
  • Provide technical support and solutions and deliver outstanding customer experience.

The Ideal Candidate…

The ideal candidate will have experienced in sales or as an account manager with experience in welding, fabrication, or a similar trade. You will need to have worked collaboratively across internal functions, along with having strong selling and business development skills. Further abilities include:

  • Thorough understanding of price and contract management.
  • Experience in growing existing accounts, Lead Generation & conversion.
  • Communicating with customers across multiple channels including phone, text, email, video conference and face to face

The company is offering a base salary of $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation (which is negotiable and dependant on experience), company vehicle and phone. They also offer on-going training and support for future career development.
